Aruna Irani is an Indian actress, director, and producer who has worked in the Hindi film industry for over six decades. She was born on August 18, 1946 in Mumbai, India.
Irani made her acting debut as a child artist in the film Gunga Jumna (1961) and went on to establish herself as a versatile actress in both supporting and character roles. She has appeared in over 300 films in various languages including Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, and Tamil.
Some of her most popular films include Caravan, Bobby, Beta, and Rocky. She has also worked in television shows such as Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand and Jhansi Ki Rani.
In addition to acting, Irani has also directed and produced several films. She received the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Pet Pyaar Aur Paap (1984).
